Environment all over the world is fast deteriorating. The attributive factors are many. Pollution of various sorts is the prime factor. Unethical excessive exploitation of natural resources caused extinction of many species which in turn resulted in the threat for the survival of remaining plants and animals including man. Recent reports also indicate that biodiversity loss is taking place at an alarming speed. All these warrant for an urgent need for the protection of the universe. Thus protection of universe has become the slogan of the present century too. It is worthwhile to reiterate that the United Nations has declared this year as the bio-diversity year.

What human beings can do at this juncture? The only answer is that man should intentionally avoid actions which may cause slight degradation of our mother earth. It is a collective responsibility. In this context, the Sooktham noted above becomes highly meaningful.

With this objective in mind we have established a voluntary organization – GREEN DOCTORS - consisting of dedicated socioenvironmental activists. Their service will help in restoring the pristine beauty of earth in conjunction with similar minded people.
